As a Dance Teacher and Choreographer, I have taught a variety of styles and formats that reflect my well-rounded training.
"Dancinema Productions Ltd.: was launched while completing my B.A. in Film studies at the university of British Columbia in Vancouver.
In a few short years, it has ground into an internationally reputed company that offers a variety of quality services, and is known for innovative products and a unique approach.
Dancinema's film have screened internationall in festivals, been selected fro KCET's Global Dacnce Video satellite program, and earned me a Residency at Cucalorus Film Festival.
I also collaborate with The JaM Youth Project, translating their choreography into dranfilms and contributing to the artistic direction of the pieces. JYP's film have been well-received and selected for various festival screenings including Los Angeles Dance Film Festival and Philadelphia Screendance Festival.
My genuine concern for the future, respect for the past, and vision for an integrated arts education inspired "Discover Dancinema Workshops": sessions that explore the symbiotic relationship of Dance & Cinema using a scientific approach that cultivated media literacy, critical thinking, creative skills and more.
I am a Youth Protection Advocated in Dance (YPAD) Advisiory Panel Member and Ambassador.
In 2016, I launched the CAPITOL Dance & Cinema Festival in Vancouver, BC, which included short & feature film screenings, workshops, forums, and ?The Meeting of Machines" performances combining dance & video technology.
This summer 2017, the inaugural CAPITOL Dance & Cinema Festival will be happening in Washington, DC.
